  1. Overview
  2. Three (3) compressor stations will be added to the Kern River Pipeline in increase capacity by 130 MMSCFD. Target date for all three (3) stations to be on line is June 15, 2001. Solar is supplying all Turbomachinery and site work relating to Turbomachinery. Williams is handling utilities to site, pipeline tie-in’s, roadwork, permitting, fencing, etc. All stations will be operated manually 24/7 initially with SCADA hookup later.

  3. Design Conditions

1250 psig @ -20 / 150 ° F

Elevation 5000’

Solar Specs B31.8 Process Piping (B31.3 can be used on utilities)

Williams prefers API 5L, X-60 Grade on Large Bore Piping

Solar Symbols on P & ID’s (At least initially)

T/M Performance c/w Curves

Vent Silence Sizing

Time (30 or 60 seconds based on seals)

Volume of pipe valves skids and turbine piping

Delay blowdown of station header until unit blowdown and limit rate to same are as pipe/valve skid

  1. Comments
  1. Type of Bolt Tensioning / Tightening should be discussed with all parties.
  2. Air reservoirs are required on large bore actuators to prevent shutdown on low air pressure during actuation.
